She was instrumental in bringing the National Bowling Association, Inc., Conference to Grand Rapids in 1992, 1998 and 2005. “When people keep coming back that makes a statement about how they feel about a city. We were up against Akron, Ohio; Louisville, Kentucky; and Ft. Wayne, Indiana, but the voters voted to come back to Grand Rapids.” An estimated 6000 people attended the 2005 three day conference.
